Commercial Architecture

Building towards your business future.

We believe commercial spaces must do more than accommodate; they must communicate. Our ability to forge well-rounded relationships allows us to design unique spaces that embody each client’s vision for serving clients and generating revenue.

Working side by side with our commercial clients allows us to customize not only their building plan, but also their building process. Since modifications are often needed throughout the process, treating the building owner as a creative collaborator allows us to adapt and better customize any updates to the design.

"KDG helped us through every stage of a huge commercial project, from consulting and filing to drawings and making sure every detail was right. Jason was amazing—we couldn’t have done it without him, and we highly recommend KDG with confidence."

Your Design & Construction Process:

Step 1: Idea Generation

We collaborate with your stakeholders to define clear goals, expectations, and project parameters so your vision can move forward with confidence.

Step 2: Pre-Design Definition

We refine your project goals into clear requirements, schedules, budgets, and site/code considerations that guide the design process with confidence.

Step 3: Schematic Design

Our design team develops the baseline documentation needed for construction documents while aligning project goals with the details required for cost estimation.

Step 4: Design Development

Using Step 3 documentation, our A/E design team refines your project specifications and provides a preliminary construction cost estimate aligned with your schedule and budget.

Step 5: Construction Documents

With your approval, we finalize drawings for permitting, bidding, and construction while offering value-engineering support to help reduce costs and improve builder coordination.

Step 6: Construction Administration

We oversee construction progress, documentation, quality, scheduling, pay requests, and close-out procedures to help ensure a smooth transition into your new building.
